Some weddings simply feel like a vacation you never want to leave.
Karen and Taylor’s wedding at The Reach in Key West, Florida, was one of those days. Between the ocean views, gorgeous venue, and beautiful golden light, it felt like everyone could just relax and soak in the day together!
The morning started with Karen getting ready alongside her bridesmaids. We played music, drank mimosas, and photographed all of the beautiful details for the big day. Karen chose a timeless Grace Loves Lace dress that perfectly complemented the laid-back vibe of the Florida Keys. She paired it with loose, romantic curls and a pearl-inspired hairpiece that gave her such an effortless bridal look.
Meanwhile, Taylor and his groomsmen kept me ABSOLUTELY LAUGHING while getting ready and set the celebratory tone for the entire day! His blue plaid suit added just enough personality while still feeling timeless, and I absolutely loved the floral tie that pulled the whole look together.
One of my favorite things about destination weddings is how present everyone feels. Without the rush of everyday life—and with everyone staying on the property—the couple and their guests have the chance to truly let loose and enjoy the celebration.
Karen and Taylor’s ceremony overlooked the water, and honestly, it’s hard to imagine a prettier place to say “I do.” One of their good friends officiated the wedding, and I don’t know what it is, but those ceremonies always hit a little differently. They feel less scripted, more personal, and you can tell every story and every word comes from someone who truly knows the couple. With the ocean behind them and the people they love surrounding them, it was simple, heartfelt, and everything a beach wedding should be.
I also have to talk about the florals because they were gorgeous!! The tropical blooms and lush greenery fit the setting so beautifully without feeling overdone. Everything felt elegant while still staying true to Key West.
After we snuck away to the beach for some gorgeous golden-hour photos, it was time to get the party started—and this group did not disappoint! The night ended exactly how every wedding should: with a packed dance floor, live music, and everyone celebrating together under the string lights.
